SOL Animals

Appearance

Any animal that can be found on Earth can also be found on SOL, as well as many creatures from myth and legend in the real world. A SOL animal could look exactly like its Earth counterpart or it could have extra features (such as wings, horns, extra body parts, etc.). SOL animals also commonly have brightly colored fur.

The pupils of SOL animals are never black and are always a very different color than their iris. The irises of ancient SOL animals were much larger and more similar to their real world counterparts than modern SOL animals.

Life Cycle

The life expectancy of an animal from SOL can vary wildly; most SOL animals with Earth counterparts instead age at the same rate as humans while other species, such as dragons, have much longer lives. Animals from SOL are also known to extend their lifespans by sheer force of will, such as in the case of Astral or Moravak.

Diet

SOL Animals follow the same diets as their Earth counterparts.

Culture

Because SOL is an entire planet, there are many cultures throughout SOL that have their own individual pages. That said, one almost universal feature of SOL's cultures is that animals are frequently separated by species and/or place on the food chain due to the awkwardness of sharing your culture with someone you might hunt and eat later or someone who might hunt or eat you.

• Many SOL animals are based on sparkledogs and other designs that have been labeled as "cringe" or gone out of style.
• A lot of SOL animals are based on my oldest characters.
